Small but fine if you don't have room for a large permanent one. My daughter is 7 years old and she really enjoyed painting and assembling this. The halves of the plastic ball need to be fitted together, which I think was the hardest part for her. If we had to do it all over again, I'd make sure each of my holders rips out one planet at a time. The reason for this is that some planets are the same size and the markings are just a very small mark printed into the shape. So all I had to do was find them, read them and put them together. She drew the whole picture and could read the gray hands they were sitting on. They don't snap so can be easily removed, but so far we haven't lost a planet or sun. My daughter learned it well and had fun. Recommend it to others as a home learning device.
