I bought this mount because I thought it could be great - I could actually put my phone in it and be ready to use Android Auto. It turns out that only power contacts are connected to the mount and cannot transfer data. I have no doubt that this mount will damage your phone's USB port after frequent use. The design is such that even with my Pixel 4 XL in a case, I could fit another phone without a case in the space behind my phone. That means my phone wasn't fully supported except for the USB port and the top clip. It also means rotation of the phone (whether while driving or trying to use the phone) is virtually unlimited. The build quality is also extremely disappointing. The overall product is flimsy and there isn't enough downforce on the phone from the internal spring. So this is disappointing. I think we'll look at phone mounts again.
