Review on πŸš— Magnum Steering Damper by Monroe SC2946 by John Holliday

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best suited for Power Steering

Straight bolts that go through rubber bushings and (correct fit) tapered bolts for my 1995 80 Series Land Cruiser. The valve is easily twice as stiff as the anti-roll bar I replaced . (Maybe a 20 year old OEM part.) Removing an old stabilizer bar can be difficult. After removing the two nuts (which should have cotter pins and the bolts *have* on this shock), you'll need to use a "salt fork" or tie rod puller (or both) to loosen the old tapered bolts. . One of my bobby pins got stuck so badly I had to hit the pickle fork with a 5 pound sled. Either way, this damper is a massive improvement over the damper I replaced!

Pros
  • Steering System
Cons
  • Very expensive
