I can't even imagine the "assumptions" a manufacturer has to make when designing such a "generic" product. The DogHat doesn't really "fit" like a hat, but rather fits on the back of the head. The DogHat doesn't really have "headroom" so it sits flat on your head and the chin strap folds it over the sides of your head and secures it under your chin. with the chin strap fastener is not strong enough to fasten the chin strap firmly under the chin and hold the DogHat on the dog. This immediately weakens it and the hat falls to the side. I ordered a size XL which was not even "listed" in the attached product description(?). He just sat on top of my bully's back. Head with a visor directed towards the sky. It sat on my Pitty's head, the visor covering her eyes unless flipped up (position wouldn't hold). The dog hat is "well..."made" in terms of "material and stitching" and has no "elasticity" (stretch) to itself or the chin strap. It should also be noted that no all dogs are "tolerant" when it comes to wearing clothing items, especially when they cannot be worn/fastened securely. Alternatively, you may want to explore baby/toddler (human) hats which can offer more styles and sizes and only requiring the addition of ear piercings if needed!Good luck with your shopping and keep wiggling!
