We replaced an expensive blender ($400) that gave up the ghost after 5-6 years (the old blender died, metal balls flew in all directions) with this blender. We researched many more expensive ones and then decided to give this one a try by buying another $400 or $500 blender. It is very powerful and easy to use. It's strong and easy to clean. We love the mugs that come with the set for a quick personal cocktail! The filling is very pretty too! We had no problem crushing ice cream, ice cream, sorbet, yogurt, and fruit (sliced apples, bananas, avocados, chopped pears, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, celery, peanut butter, peanuts, and more). Have been using it for two months and we are very glad we got this blender as it makes everything we need - smoothies, smoothies, desserts, puddings and energy drinks!
