I bought these because I figured I would use them, abuse them and throw them away if I broke them. Looks like it's going to be a long time before I give them up! You won't beat them for money, maybe even twice as much. Very durable and strong. Of course you'll need weights outdoors since you're so tall, and with a big umbrella inside you can go without weights, or maybe just one on the other side if you have a frolicking pet. By scales I mean a milk jug full of water tied to the leg, a punching bag on the leg, whatever, nothing else to buy. They are good bang for the buck. I keep a really heavy 55 inch octagonal softbox with mesh and two segregation panels in it and everything is fine inside. I really can't believe it! They are also very nicely packaged! And the device is easy to use. As with any other photo, don't take Rambo! It will take a long time. When they expire, one day I will gather them into parts and make other gear out of them.
