You may think this stem screws right into your stem, but that's not really the case. The top of the stem is threaded for a 1-1/2" wedge nut. It comes with a short 1-1/2" tube with a flanged lip that connects to the top of the stem with a slip joint and this flanged length is used to connect to the strainer (assuming you have an extra nut) I was looking for a nozzle with a flange and nut that connects directly to the strainer I'm sure it will work fine, it's just not the product I wanted/expected based on the listing.
