Upon unboxing and reading the instructions I noticed that the stainless steel tip is not replaceable but seems strong enough that it does not need to be replaced. I switched the device on briefly before charging and was immediately struck by how strong the vibration felt. After that I turned off the device and connected it to the charger. The instructions state that you need to charge it for two hours before using it for the first time. During charging, the back glows brightly: red when charging and green when the battery is fully charged. After charging, I started brushing my teeth. Following the usual routine, I got this device up and running. It took me just over 15 minutes to redo my teeth and I was amazed at the amount of plaque that flaked off, even on the lowest settings. I have sensitive gums and felt completely comfortable and in control the whole time. My teeth don't look like they've been polished like a dentist's, but they seem cleaner than just brushing and flossing!
