My cat had a lumpectomy and had a hard standard cone put in. The procedure was traumatic for her, but the vet's cone significantly worsened her recovery. She was in trouble and didn't sleep the first night she tried to get the cone out. I bought this cactus cone and it was like night and day. She calmed down immediately. The cactus cone was much more comfortable, she actually used it as a pillow like you've seen on one of those airplane travel pillows and her line of sight was improved with this cone. My large breed cat, a Norwegian Forest cat, weighs 13 pounds and the cactus cone is perfect for her comfort and protection. She never licked the incision site. I would recommend. It costs 8.99.
