Review on Adhesive Thermally Conductive Heat Sink Computer by Jeff Hall

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not suitable for GPU Memory

I bought this to try and cool the GDDR6x memory on my 3080GB Gaming OS as I was having thermal throttling issues at 110C. This material just doesn't have enough thermal conductivity to work. On this application I was still experiencing throttling when I replaced the front and rear pads. I've bought higher quality pads which were more expensive but should have almost 10x the thermal conductivity. They would be good for simple applications where you just need some cooling, but not for high intensity applications like the 3080. I'll keep them on the back and use more expensive heatsink/memory standoffs on the front.
