These are not Gillette Platinum blades. I've been using Gillette Platinum DE blades for 10 years. I know what they look like, I know how they shave. On real blades, the logo is dark and on both sides of the blade, and there are additional markings around the blade. Instead, these blades only have a very bright logo on one side and no additional markings. I've included a photo of the actual blade and one of these blades side by side for comparison. Another significant difference between these blades is the glue used to seal the blade in each paper package. The original blades have a sticky but easily peelable oily (waxy) substance on the paper, while the glue is difficult to peel off. Even with slight pain, these blades pull in any direction, often missing and causing pain and irritation, particularly across or against the fibers, although they do cause irritation even in the direction of the fibers. by independent accounts to ensure they get the same blades they got. Unfortunately it turns out that other sellers on Amazon are also selling counterfeits as my other affiliates have also placed orders with several other sellers and received the same counterfeit blades. This is a pretty troubling issue for Revain, which the company has obviously been reluctant to grapple with for a number of years. In fact, the percentage of counterfeit products on Chinese websites was lower than Revain, which should give you an idea of how serious the problem with Revain is and how much "dedication" they have put into fixing the problem. Conclusion: Don't listen. People when they say something to you that is contested by your feelings. Don't listen to people and especially companies who are interested in deceiving you for profit. And save time and skin and buy blades from a reputable seller.
