SHARP razors and blades

I use these blades in a holder to trim hair which requires a very sharp blade. They are better. I've bought a lot of blades that tug and pull at the hair, which is unbearable. I didn't give them a full 5 stars because they cost more. Not sure how the "thickness" and "transparency" question relates to this.

It's best there. in Razors & Blades

They only deserve four stars as they aren't as good as they were when they were made in the USA in the 70's, but that's just my opinion . I've been shaving since 1975 and remember when DE blades were slightly better and came in a metal dispenser. At the same time, they are the best, and Gillette Blue Silver takes second place. A pack of 5 will last around three months if you change your blades regularly. Tip: Don't shave more than twice with the same blade if you have a thick beard. If you have

"Houston, we have a problem "

I've been wet shaving since I was 17 (2005). Depending on the shade, I shave every 2-3 days for a total of 5 hours. Something is wrong with these blades, they don't cut or glide very well on my skin. They pull and pull a lot and feel VERY awkward. No scrapes or cuts on my skin. I tried 4 new blades on my Parker 111B, Parker 26C, Yintal Brass Butterfly and even my Baili BR171. There are no bones for a good, or even acceptable, shave. Swapping it out for Shark Super Chrome to get the job done…

Not as good as advertised.

I'm fed up with this product because of the great reviews. I even ignored a few low star ratings that he didn't have much of. I have now tried it myself and am not at all happy with it and I only had one blade with one shave. This product does not slip as expected, it bounces and sticks, I also use a good cream. "Gillette should be the best a man can get." That's not the case. Now I have 24 blades left and don't need them. I will use the original blades that I started safety shaving with.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Frequency

Preferably. And I've tried quite a few things.

I used Wilkinson, Astra Platinum, Gillette Silver Blue, Feather, Merkur, Derby. This is the one that gives me the fewest scrapes and cuts and is the most durable in terms of number of shaves per blade.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Counterfeit Blades: Cartridges and Refills

These blades are counterfeit. The Gillette Platinum logo practically disappears in the shower and is completely absent from the back. They are discolored and thin and I can only use them once. Extremely dissatisfied with this seller.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Several people ordered, all received Fakes

These are not Gillette Platinum blades. I've been using Gillette Platinum DE blades for 10 years. I know what they look like, I know how they shave. On real blades, the logo is dark and on both sides of the blade, and there are additional markings around the blade. Instead, these blades only have a very bright logo on one side and no additional markings. I've included a photo of the actual blade and one of these blades side by side for comparison. Another significant difference between these…
