EDIT: The new version is much better than the old ones!_____ I got this massager and it changed my life. It is so powerful compared to Revain's cheaper "favorite" versions and has really helped my neck, back and shoulder pain! The problem is that my first was used a couple of times a week - maybe overuse caused the cord to come loose from the unit but some things inside were rattling long before that although it was fully functional until the cord broke. I tried replacing my first one with a cheaper one from another brand and this cheap one was so flimsy in comparison and the massage part was right on the zipper which didn't make any sense. I ended up sending this one back and spending a second with this Homedics and I'm happy to see that it now uses the regular thick power cord versus the thin power cord it used before. Hopefully it will last more than a few years now compared to the first! If you're considering this for your background, get one, but be prepared that you may need to replace it within a year or two - expensive but such a relief. the same thing happened to me a few times. Both times I've used it on bare skin for a bad knot and I've learned that you need a material like a shirt between you and the massager. Focusing on one spot with bare skin for too long can cause friction. So wear a shirt and move around in it more and you'll be fine. Some might have to get used to the performance but I loved it! Better than being flimsy like cheap brands.
