I make a batch of waffles about every 10 days. My double-sided flip model (Waring) broke so I started looking for a replacement. Made my first batch today. The waffles are delicious as expected. Here are a few tips I would find useful to include in the All Clad: 1. The appliance will cook two waffles weighing around 100 grams (50 grams each). My previous Waring waffle was 120 gram.2. The device uses a little less than 2/3 cup of batter (at least according to the recipe I use).3. There's a plastic cup to catch excess batter; This was very helpful as I was trying to figure out the right amount.4. I found that if I smoothed the surface of the batter toward the front of the iron with a heatproof spatula, I was less likely to get a leak from the back since the waffle had some time to harden before I closed the cooking lid. 5. Compared to my previous manufacturer, removing the wafer is a bit more difficult due to the orientation of the wafer slots. I've found using the offset spatula to be the best tool so far.
