That's good and there are no downsides. That's what he says, nothing more. This is a metal straight bread bin with a nice vintage look. I didn't give it 5 stars because I think it missed an opportunity to be really good. It's a nice looking design but I think it could use more vintage touch and authenticity. In terms of design and creating perfect airflow, this seems achievable, especially if you're putting "plastic-lined loaves". as in the description. Although the other side of the page says "Plastic bags are not needed." So I'm a little confused as to what situation the airflow is intended for. We got it not long ago, but I didn't notice any freshness difference between the loaves on the counter and in the bread bin (both were in bread bins). I want to learn more about the construction process, design elements and results that led to the Airflow design. That being said, they definitely look better in the bin than on the counter, and the cookie jar is a nice bonus.
