Bad Glue, Damaged Sleep Sensor

The screen worked fine and I liked their online instructions (more on instructions below) but. The glue on the edges was not applied well. The worst part was that an adhesive strip was attached so the sleep sensor was taped over the adhesive. When I carefully tried to pry the sleep sensor from the adhesive, it came loose. I'm lucky that I have good soldering skills and the right soldering iron to reattach it. One side of the adhesive was loose from not being pressed into place and some of the edges were overlapping. I paid extra money ($30 more) so I didn't want to solder anything. That backfired! I was happy to see that the adhesive was already applied but I had to reapply it and one area was reapplied. The packaging and tools that came with it were good. The instructions for moving the home button/thumbprint reader are good with additional images, but really should involve a clean install rather than just removing the button. I've made an iPhone before but found it more difficult to center the iPad's mount so the button presses properly.
