I love these bookshelves for my son! It's very convenient that the bar at the front of the shelf is higher than the bar on typical wooden bookcases, so if one of the books falls forward, it doesn't fall. I also like its depth, you can put many books on it. I will be ordering more to hang some of these and put the rest of his books on the wall. I've given it a 3 for strength, not because they don't feel strong when hung, I'm not afraid of them breaking or falling, but the wooden base isn't fully secured to all of its parts so it's not entirely level. . This made them difficult to hang directly on the wall as they didn't sit flat in the center of the shelves. The same goes for the metal, they weren't entirely smooth either. It's nothing you notice or worry about when they're on top, the metal doesn't have to be hard and strong but it does make getting it right, even instilling it, difficult. Also, they were very easy to hang up. They look great and my son loves them. All in all I would definitely recommend them. Good price for a decent product.
