This is very exactly as advertised which is great for the price. The device is well made and has many useful functions. I found this out by watching YouTube videos. There's a guy out there showing how to use this in everyday woodworking so you can get measurements to within .001 of an inch by mounting it on a table saw guard. brilliant. to the grooves in the table top. It came from the factory with an error of 0.0217mm and I was able to get an alignment to within 0.003mm (between the front of the blade and the back, so now I'm getting clean cuts with no burn marks. Next time I'll buy a bigger saw or maybe a smaller one.
