I've been using jersey sized double jersey sheets for queen mattresses for a long time. It has served me well, but I had to constantly repair it and it was worn and had a few small holes in it. Although I liked the soft feel, I read somewhere that satin is better for your hair so I basically bought this white pillowcase set to replace my old pillowcase that is too small. Satin is a whole new sensation. . It feels slippery, like shaving your legs and getting under the covers. But even satin feels a lot smoother and cooler than flipping a pillow over to get the cool side. A great feeling. It had a few creases/creases but with the help of a hand held steamer I was able to smooth everything out. Another thing to mention is that it got caught on my fingernails and toenails very easily. As I smoothed out the wrinkles, I noticed a few small blemishes that made me realize it was all my fault as I went to bed. That doesn't stop me though, mostly because it's a big upgrade from what I had before and I don't know too much about satin material to really judge the quality. All I know is that I love the feel and the creases and little snags I made with my nails don't bother me. I think I've had this product for less than a month so we'll see how long it lasts. So this product meets my needs. Maybe I'll choose black next time I need another sheet.
