I live in a very dry climate. This is one of two humidifiers in the room and four in the house it's that bad. The dryness goes up and down but I like around 45. A humidifier running at full blast isn't enough. upper level as well as tank contents, noise level and essential oil cup. BUT. The humidity sensor is very inaccurate and immediately reports 55-60 when it's well into 30 (I have an Ecobee that reports humidity as well as all three other humidifiers, I also have a standalone unit. None of them ever went above 40. Never .I've done everything I could to fix it but to no avail.The reason this is a problem is because without an accurate sensor I have to keep it running all the time.The sleep option and timers- Option are it won't work It should turn on when it's under 45 Now I can't do that Two stars because it doesn't work As I can see to calibrate it and the book says it's in Order on peoples health EDIT 4/18/21: I hooked up a longer wire for the sensor (uses 4 wire thermostat wire) to see if it was too close, after removing the humidistat it was set to 30. Plugged it in on again, like this continue back to 57. So , the hygrostat itself is defective.
