I have a very small female foot (4.5 - 5). The same socks in women's sizes are usually too big for me and bunch up. This is a very small sock, but also elastic. I imagine you'd rather have them tight than loose so they don't slip. I really like them and wear them with loafers, boat shoes and TOMS for a sockless look with a little more protection for the feet. They definitely do NOT show when shoes are put on. I'm curious to know how they hold up after a few washes as they appear flimsy, but they are definitely more durable than their nylon counterparts. The anti-slip on the heel is also good and I've found them to stay in place throughout my workday. I like them but they are quite expensive for kids socks.
