Review on Enhanced Performance Genuine Leather Steering Wheel Cover by PILOT Automotive - SW-101 by John Larsen

It was the 3rd that I bought for two cars and was generally satisfied with the cover. My wife liked the one I put in my car so much she wanted the same one in hers. The one in my car recently (about 18 months) had to be replaced because it had a tear in the skin near one of the stitching. It wasn't worth doubting its durability; However, the new case, which arrived quickly, has a strong SMOKE odor as if it survived a fire, which the previous two purchases did not. Was there a fire in the manufacturer's or Amazon's warehouse? If so, then I should have received a discount on the sale. Update - The smoke smell seems to have dissipated properly so I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars. In addition to other commenters, this cover is very tight and takes a while to put in place. Installation effort, but worth it. This is a mixed blessing. Because it's an error to install, but it means it's SAFE when you finish installing.
