Review on Gray Charcoal 2 Tone Thai Fisherman Pants for Men – Practical Yoga Trousers by MEMITR by Evan Zurlo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My New Favorites!: Workout & Fitness

(updated 17 months after original review) ORIGINAL RATING: I'm 6ft 2" tall and I'm a little worried the Thai fisherman pants will end up looking like linen board shorts will look like. on me. These pants were slightly longer than most at Revain and the colors felt like a manly fit. Turns out they hang about 5 inches above my ankles. I originally bought it because I travel a lot with colleagues and have to share a room. I wanted something comfortable that packs nice and flat. For that they are AWESOME. Before I traveled with them for the first time, I wanted to try them at home. Now I wear them to bed every day. They are very comfortable, never curl up on your feet and are great at helping to regulate the temperature of your feet. I live in Texas and there were about 80 people in our house overnight. I wore them and discarded all comforters/sheets. That was excellent! A side note on many of the negative reviews: these pants *are* not supposed to hit the ankles. I'm actually not sure after trying them if I would like it. And yes, it will take a little time to figure out how to tie them. Just like it took time to learn how to use chopsticks. Things are not bad because you don't understand them yet. (Forgive my lazily edited photo. I just didn't mean to show my living room.) October 2019 UPDATE: 17 months later and I'm buying a second pair. The cord on one side is very frayed and seems about to break. Actually it's my fault. For a long time I tied them around me quite tightly, pulling the strings, which caused a lot of friction and, as a result, was worn out. I've learned that cords can be surprisingly loose on me and only tied tightly. I assume the next pair will last much longer. However, I wear them pretty much every night, year-round, with the rare exception of tossing them in the washing machine and forgetting to dry them. (I air dry them to avoid possible damage from the dryer, but they still dry quickly.) I always recommend these pants to people. They are amazing! Update #2: Interesting Developments: My second pair was the wrong color. It was black/purple (a color Revain doesn't even offer!) and was mislabeled as red/black. They also had an inside pocket and the straps are too short to even wrap around my waist (I wear a size 34). Revain gave them the money back and suggested I place a new order. Since the red/black was out of stock, I took the green/green. I've attached photos for comparison. Lots of interesting things to see: 1) The green I received had darker shades, not lighter shades like some of the product photos. I was glad. 2) All of these things must be handmade and based on the arm length of whoever is making them. The red/black was 2.5 inches narrower when laid flat than the black/purple and 3.5 inches narrower than the green. The green legs were 3 inches longer than the red and black ones, and the purple ones were 5 inches longer! All tapes were of different thicknesses. Also, the vertical stitching on the top color was in a different location on all of them. 3) Different sizes only slightly change the wearing experience. The way they are worn eliminates any slack in the waist to keep you comfortable. The only really important thing was the ties, which were fine on both pairs, which I had to get myself. I don't know if they're actually in Thailand or not (their website is down and their FB is outdated) but I just feel like it's proof they can be made the traditional way. I'd still recommend them to anyone, but be aware that sometimes you can end up with surprisingly long pants if you're smaller. However, rest assured that Revane was easy to deal with. Buy these pants; They are amazing.
