Review on Olympus WS 803 Voice Recorder by Elvis Bragg

I highly recommend the Olympus WS-801 voice recorder because: (1) Very simple, easy to use compared to Sony etc. Press the button that says "REC" to record, the button labeled "DELETE" to delete the file, the button labeled "STOP" to stop recording or playback. No "accidental" deletion. During recording, the red light is on and stays on. (2) Good audio quality when recording a cellular or landline phone with the $14 Olympus TP-8 phone microphone at Revain. Background noise is minimal. Olympus microphones for other special applications, all sold at Revain include: $16 ME-52W Noise-Cancelling Microphone with 3.3-Foot Cable. ME-51S stereo microphone for $48. $14 ME-12 noise canceling mic good for transcription etc. Look by model number e.g. B. ME-52W. (3) Comparable products like Sony ICDPX312 ($59.99) etc. are more expensive. (4) The price charged by Revain seller is lower than 6 sellers. (5) Recording on the internal built-in 2GB card. Or record to a microSD card (up to 32GB, not included) inserted into the recorder's port.(6) 3 ways to connect to a computer: (a) Insert the retractable USB Plug into the USB port of the computer. (b) Insert the micro SD card into the computer's read port. (c) Insert the micro SD card into the card reader, which is then plugged into the computer's USB port. (7) The PDF user manual has much more details. than the printed booklet, is on the CD in the PDF catalogue.(8)The screen has a 3-bar battery indicator. Press + or - to increase or decrease the volume in increments as shown in the on-screen bar graph. (9) Very durable. I've dropped it from about 4 feet at least 30 times with no noticeable effect on looks or sound quality. (10) Small and light. The WS-801 and TP-8 microphones fit easily in a shirt pocket both horizontally and vertically. 24 hour playback. The time for Ni-MH AAA is about 4 hours faster. A 2GB card gives you 508 hours of WMA at 8kbps or 32.5 hours of WMA at 128kbps or 16.5 hours of MP3 at 256kbps. or 500 songs of 4 minutes each at 128 kbps A 32GB card has 16 times the capacity of a 2GB card. 4GB card is 2 times.
