I've bought about 3-4 pairs of these and will continue to do so. With proper use, they last for about 200 miles of sailing. What is right? Tip 1: Put them in when your ear is dry and don't take them out until you're done. Tip 2: Earwax is the best seal, lip balm etc. is not. If you can keep the speaker dry, it will last the longest. The highs are great and sound pretty decent overall. A pressure-balanced (inner ear) air gap between the speaker cone and the eardrum is required for the best sound. Of course, if you change the depth after applying the right amount of pressure to it, the sound will degrade. If they fail, they start cracking, maybe chlorine builds up on the speaker. I'm still looking for the perfect underwater speaker solution but these seem to be the best out there. And swimming to the music is just killer.
