Great sound, bass and very comfortable

I ruined several headphones at the gym with dripping sweat. I found them as a second pair of waterproof headphones and moved them up the chain. They have great bass and sound fantastic! I'm actually going to buy a second pair for the house because I really like them. My only issue was that they didn't have a clip to attach it to my sport shirt. It doesn't usually matter much, but I don't like the line flying around during a workout.

waterproof headphones noise

I'm not sure I like these headphones yet. The smooth ear pads seem to slip out of my ear more when swimming. I'm still trying different sizes. What I find most annoying is the static noise. Still debating and trying this headset out. I'm very disappointed with the higher costs, I wasn't thrilled. I had two cheaper Pyles. Both sets have significantly lower speaker volume than the others, but I think the overall sound quality is better. I bought a second Pyle after the first's weaker earbud died.

Pros
  • new to my collection
Cons
  • boring packaging

Terrible length Decent Otherwise

They hold up better than the pair that came with my iPod shuffle but are too long. The price and rating were better than the shorter one, but it's a pain to swim around and feel the wires float around you. Today I attached an iPod to a cap and tucked part of the cord under my glasses and cap. It's better than a three, but not a four because of the crazy length. The sound is okay, staying slightly better than the higher rated headphones, there are still some issues with water ingress and…

They are very easy to position. Even with water ingress

Bought these headphones for swimming (2 times a week). With my previous earbuds, I had issues with the seal: it was difficult to position them properly. Most often they fall into the water in one of the headphones, and after that there is no sound in one ear. I have no problem with X1. They are very easy to position. Even if water gets in, just move it and it still works. The sound is clear. Even if it takes a while at high frequencies, that's very true. We hear a little water and wheezing on…

Poor sound quality

I read the reviews before purchasing and thought the sound was at least decent enough to match the headphones that came with my iPhone. I didn't buy them for swimming and maybe that's the difference. I've ruined several pairs of "sweatproof" headphones because I sweat profusely during cardio. I figured buying "waterproof" headphones would improve things enough to keep up with my workouts. I haven't had headphones long enough to speak of durability, but the sound quality sucks to me. I tried…

I think these are the best in the category

I've bought about 3-4 pairs of these and will continue to do so. With proper use, they last for about 200 miles of sailing. What is right? Tip 1: Put them in when your ear is dry and don't take them out until you're done. Tip 2: Earwax is the best seal, lip balm etc. is not. If you can keep the speaker dry, it will last the longest. The highs are great and sound pretty decent overall. A pressure-balanced (inner ear) air gap between the speaker cone and the eardrum is required for the best…

Great sound but difficult to hold tight while swimming

Bought these for swimming and when they work they are great. I used them with the waterproof X-1 strap (which I ended up returning although I kept it). It's a wild feeling swimming to this kind of music if you haven't tried it before. Unfortunately, although they come with 5 different tip sizes and I've tried them all, I'm still having trouble getting a consistent seal. I will swim and one will fall out. It's not a problem with headphones as all you have to do is stop, shake them, put them back

Great swimming headphones

I've used many, many different MP3 players for swimming. I swim a mile a day and can't keep up a boring rhythm without the help of music and I've found these to be the best headphones I've ever used. I've found that the biggest downside to an underwater MP3 player is the headphones. If you hit a wall while reversing, very few headphones can withstand that kind of pressure. Note that you should quickly soak them in water before putting them in your ear. For some reason this seems to keep them…
