I'm a nurse and only bought these as a base layer under dresses. I usually wear a large and that's the size I bought. As expected, they fit well. They are described as compression type tops so this is not surprising. Personally, I like my base layers to be snug to my body, I don't like them looking or feeling bulky. I'm 5'10" and have monkey hands. The sleeves are stretchy, pull down to the wrists and are not as short as other long sleeve shirts I've tried in smaller sizes.
