Review on Reusable Coffee Filter Cup for Keurig K Supreme (Plus) Coffee Maker - Perfect Pod Cafe Supreme by Alex Tinker

Not for K-Supreme Plus Smart Brewer

I don't recommend this refillable pod for K-Supreme Plus Smart Brewer as the pod id feature doesn't recognize it as a pod so only 'hot water' offers "when using. I didn't anticipate this issue as the brewer will recognize the K-Cups brand name and My K-Cup refillable pod. It doesn't know what type of coffee is in it, so it can't recommend a brew setting, it just says "Classic Brew" and prompts you to select your saved favorite coffee or enter a new setting. In this case, the message indicates that there is no capsule in the holder to insert or press "K" to dispense hot water. If you choose hot water you still get coffee. The flow for hot water is faster than for brewing, so your coffee will be weaker and you can't change the temperature. I managed to brew the cup by placing the My K-Cup lid on the reader before closing the brewer so it thought it was what was in the holder. I don't know if this trick would work with anything else, but it would be a pain if it had to be done regularly. I only use refillable pods occasionally so I can live with that, although I wish I didn't have to. I gave three stars instead of one because it is understandable that a company's accessory may not work 100% correctly on the product. Made by another company and I believe it works great with other Supreme models that don't have the Pod ID feature. If this capsule were manufactured by Keurig for use by their own brewers, this issue would be unacceptable at all.
