Review on Learning Resources Jumbo Jungle Animals by Jermaine Batista

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reviews seem mixed but we really like them.

I'm a little surprised by the variety of reviews about it. Maybe the sets don't match? All I can consider are the ones we received and we are very happy with them. These numbers are more than I expected. The giraffe is 13 inches tall and the elephant is 12 inches long. The colors are bright, saturated and quite realistic. My little one is tough on her toys and so far they are holding up very well. I will update this review when she starts wearing them! They aren't cheap but I found them to be good value for money. As with many other items in Revain, it's worth keeping an eye on the prices of such items. This set and the farm animal set were sold as current lighting deals at almost 50% off. Class! Note: I see a lot of people trying to compare them to Schleich animals. The prices are about the same, Schleich is slightly higher. I ordered three Schleich animals that I think go well with this set. I will report how they compare! Update: I'm buying three Schleich animals. I was curious how they would compare to the educational sets and figured a few more animals in our collection wouldn't hurt! Here's my general comparison: Price - Resources for training are less than a tier on average. Quality - Schleich animals are much stronger. Apparently they are solid, and the animals from the training resources are hollow. To be honest, there are benefits to both here. My daughter is 3 and I prefer the softer animals from Learning Resources. They are soft to the touch and quite flexible. I think they are safer for toddlers to play on both your child and your furniture! The soft animals from Learning Resources won't hurt little hands or your coffee table. Schleich animals are tough enough to do damage if they bump into your furniture or your child! animals are bigger. Again, I think this is better, especially for younger kids. Realism – Schleich wins that unconditionally. The level of detail on each animal is better with Schleich and the colors appear more realistic. If they are intended for educational purposes, especially for school-age children, Schleich may be a suitable option. On the other hand, the brighter colors of the Learning Resources animals may be more appropriate for preschoolers. Now that I've had a chance to compare both brands, I still prefer Learning Resources Animals for Preschoolers. This seems to be the intended audience for these sets. For bigger children you can take a closer look at the Sheikh.
