I had to buy this cable because (through my own fault) I broke the cable that came with the Blue Yeti. There was an awful buzz in the microphone caused by electromagnetic interference. I tried every recommended solution until I remembered that I had a (very old) cable with ferrite cores on one end. Now my mic works like new and I threw it in the trash.
