Bought for my 55" TV which I did NOT cover the outside with a tarp or anything - I installed it on a Monday and for goodness sake it rained 2 days in a row (Chicago) I have getting it it The tv was dead because the seller said it might get wet I went out to check the tv on Thursday morning and was INCREDIBLE that it was completely dry so after 2 days of it being wet not a single drop came through the lid.Even the controller pocket was left dry.This is my experience so don't be mad at me if you get one that leaks - it fits really big - I have 54". ordered for my 55" and it's big but perfect for me because my tv is mounted on a wooden tv the stand to cover covers part of the stand also I will buy another one as a spare as these things usually only last a few years due to the sun (eg. B. a grill cover)
