Review on BONECO W200 Air Washer: Humidifier and Purifier for Improved Air Quality by Pornthip Muakpung ᠌

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

I bought it in November 2022. I used bonuses, so the purchase cost about 9500. Given the elementary nature of the design, even such an amount seems overpriced to me. After a couple of weeks of daily use, clicks appeared during operation of the device. The sound progressed and bothered. Since the unit is as simple as a hammer handle, I decided to eliminate this sound myself, and not take it to the other end of the city for a service. It turned out that these clicks come from a gearbox that helps a tiny electric motor rotate a rather large drum with a moisturizing sponge. In general, this whole system resembles my first school constructor with an electric motor (once again I was convinced that the price was unjustified). I did not disassemble the gearbox housing, but through a small window, plastic gears are visible in it. There I just pushed graphite grease and put everything back together. Now, except for the rustle of the fan, there are no sounds. However, this sound prevents my wife from sleeping, so the device turns off at night. After each batch of water is used up, a yellow liquid (dirt dissolved in water) remains at the bottom, from which we can conclude that the air is still being washed. I rinse the tray every time and rinse the sponge with a shower. This is done very easily. And if this is not done, then the smell of a rotten rag will quickly appear in the apartment. Conclusions. No need to expect any cosmic effect from this "air wash". In no case will it save you from the need for wet cleaning in the house and will not even reduce the frequency of this event. If you have a balcony on the sunny side, where you dry clothes and two shedding cats, you will not notice the difference between the presence and absence of the device. Although during the heating season at home it really breathes a little easier. Buy or not - depends on the purpose of the acquisition. For complete air purification - NO. To humidify the air in a natural way without the formation of a white coating on furniture and perspiration from excessive humidity - YES. You decide. Personally, I wouldn't buy at full price.

Pros
  • Laconic design. Ease of maintenance. Reliability. No replacement filters.
Cons
  • Extraneous sounds at work. The price is unreasonably high.
