This is a reliable little knot. I bought it for my 2017 MacBook Pro. I don't understand why a hub is needed if not all possible ports can be used. Otherwise, you may need more than one hub. That's why I chose this one. I went with the one that had two HDMI ports instead of additional USB ports. You never know! The connections themselves all work and everything fits perfectly. If you have problems with the headphone jack, you need to change the audio output to "USB PnP Audio Device". If you do this, the sound will be great. The body of the hub has an aluminum feel and while it feels warm, it doesn't get very hot. It also comes with a soft case, nothing fancy. I will insert an image. I'm also including a picture of the hub next to my computer so you can get a sense of its size. For context, this is a 15-inch screen. This is one of the more expensive hubs out there, but it does everything you need and works flawlessly!
