Sometimes less is less

I bought this 1" 10mm spindle platter because RAM has a reputation for making great products. Solution for my BMW K1300s. The 10mm bolt "fitted" but the coarse (American?) thread and shortness of the bolt and lack of a hex head made tightening difficult and this loosened the setup. Return this item and buy a headstock mount from a UK supplier that comes with a longer hex bolt and backplate that fit my bike perfectly. This might be a good solution for some bikes, but for me, less was less.
