🔘 RAM Mounts Ball Adapter with M10 X 1.25 Threaded Post RAM-B-349U - B Size 1" Ball Review

I installed them on my truck as light mounts. They have been stable for 3 months. The lights weigh about 2 pounds and are rated at 5 so they're perfect for the job. Even on the highway there is absolutely no vibration. Riding over bumps results in little bounce and they don't lose alignment at all.

I prefer these to those that attach to the handlebars with a U-clamp. They fit snugly into the unused mirror holes on my Kawasaki Voyager XII. The left one gets in the way of my left side throttle a bit, but that's okay. What I would like to see are some hexes that I could attach a wrench to so I don't have to tighten them with pliers.

I have a 2017 KTM Duke 390 and I replaced the factory mirrors with a set of side mirrors. This left me with two screw holes where to install them. I decided to add a RAM mount to the bike and I was curious if I could use those mounting holes. This ball is perfect for the holes on the Duke 390. It only attaches to the left side as the right side is reverse threaded, but this hole allows this hole to be used and looks great on the bike.

Screws together perfectly. If you drive a Ninja 300 (any year) you will notice an extra 10mm hole on both the clutch and brake side. Remove the rubber stopper, screw it in and it's in the perfect place to use the GPS. I'm sure many other bikes have this unused bolt that you can use. However, keep in mind that supersports don't typically have extra streams as the handlebar setup is more track oriented. This ram mount is of course of excellent quality. For those with an FJR 1300 (and possibly other Yamaha bikes) there is a small rubber cap on the clutch lever that you can remove and insert this ball to mount your gear on. Very very comfortable and I think maybe that was what Yamaha had in mind from the start but unfortunately I think very few people know about it.

I bought this 1" 10mm spindle platter because RAM has a reputation for making great products. Solution for my BMW K1300s. The 10mm bolt "fitted" but the coarse (American?) thread and shortness of the bolt and lack of a hex head made tightening difficult and this loosened the setup. Return this item and buy a headstock mount from a UK supplier that comes with a longer hex bolt and backplate that fit my bike perfectly. This might be a good solution for some bikes, but for me, less was less.
