My son is not fat but is well built. He has very thick thighs and a small butt. Big calves too. He mostly has tree trunks instead of legs. Finding skinny jeans that really suit his body type is difficult. Where we live, you can't wear sweatpants and basketball shorts all year round. So far, they have withstood a very active child walking in the fresh air. I had no issues with the fit in general other than the length. But that's mainly because he's 4 years old and wears a size 7/8. There's nothing a sewing machine can't fix.
