The usefulness of this mount is amazing. I bought because: A- I like having the lightning centered on my umbrellas and B: I can use Bowens modifiers. The only thing that confuses me is that it's plastic and cheap. The price reflects this and if it breaks, $20 for a replacement isn't that much. But this one-time thinking really worries me. I would prefer Phottix Cerberus. This is a much better mount, professional quality, incredible construction, metal and will last forever. It's three times the price and doesn't have an umbrella mount. You must use the umbrella mount in the Varos umbrella mount, which raises the flash over the center of the umbrella. You can't go wrong with this. I wish it was metal instead of plastic, but it's very comfortable.
