Description of Godox S-Type Bracket Bowens Mount Holder for Speedlite Flash: Snoot, Softbox, Beauty Dish, Reflector, Umbrella

The new Godox S-type Speedlite Bracket takes horizontal flash head mounting another step further though, by clamping the flash head, rather than strapping it in place as the Phottix bracket does. As an optimized patented product, Godox S-type speedlite bracket is superior: all-in-one, smaller size, portable design, no assembly/disassembly, and easy mounting system. Quickly add Bowens-mount lighting accessories to get creative lighting effects. Features: No pre-assembly & post-disassembly. Smaller size, lighter weight, & less occupied space

Bowens Mount for Hot Shoe Flashes and Video Lights

This is a Godox Type S mount that allows you to front mount Bowens Mount accessories. While people buy them to shoot with hot shoe flashes, I often use mine for video lighting. As shown in my photos, you can connect an Edison lightbulb to the power supply and mount the video light in the bracket, then use an umbrella or soft box to diffuse the light. I have about a dozen of these brackets - I can't tell you enough about them. They are inexpensive, small and versatile.

does what i need

It does what I need it to hold the flash on a stand so I can use it with the Octabox. My only concern is that it doesn't seem to fit into the top of my light stand as snugly as I would like. As this is my first experience with a light and strobe bracket set, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong if I need some kind of adapter or there's some other reason it doesn't fit the stand snugly. That being said, the flash sits well on the adapter and I can easily attach my Octabox to it, so I'm very happy…

Trash items in accessories

Tilt hinge won't move. You'll have to take it apart and make some adjustments, but even then I'll use all my strength to tip it up or down and it'll break in a moment. Also, the adjustment lever is too long. If you are using a larger softbox, such as Such as an octagonal or hexagonal soft box, the angle reduction arm will be inserted into your soft box, so it is very inconvenient to tilt it and make small adjustments after you assemble the soft box. This is an awful product. It's the cheap…

Excellent especially for the money

The usefulness of this mount is amazing. I bought because: A- I like having the lightning centered on my umbrellas and B: I can use Bowens modifiers. The only thing that confuses me is that it's plastic and cheap. The price reflects this and if it breaks, $20 for a replacement isn't that much. But this one-time thinking really worries me. I would prefer Phottix Cerberus. This is a much better mount, professional quality, incredible construction, metal and will last forever. It's three times the

No more worrying about your flash being securely mounted on the stand.

This thing is amazing. After years of worrying about flashes on shaky mounts, I can finally shoot comfortably. They're plastic, but incredibly durable. The clip on top rotates easily and sits snugly and securely on the flash head. The Bowens mount is an added bonus that makes it very easy to use high quality modifiers. Finally, the position of the flash hole in relation to the screen slot ensures that your flash fires right in the center of your screen. The mount was smooth and didn't work in…

Great mount for SPEEDlite

Great product for attaching modifiers to SPEEDlite. I can't stress this enough because misinformed reviewers use this on flashes like the Godox Ad200 or Ad600 and give bad reviews that aren't justified. For reference, I bought this for a Nikon SB80DX flash, which weighs just over 3/4lb (13.5oz) with batteries. A strobe light like the Godox mentioned can weigh over 5 pounds without any modifiers attached. While the ad200 shape fits this mount and is theoretically a cheap alternative, it's not…

Great quality!: Shoe mounts

I bought this mount to use with a Godox 2ft rectangular softbox. It worked really well for my still lifes. Given the price, I can't say it's a very solid build, but it's definitely good and definitely worth the price. It securely holds my quick flashlight. I also have a Profoto 2 flash mount and it's outrageously expensive but built like a tank. But due to its design, it's very difficult to see the controls on the speedometer and easily turn it on and off. Godox provides easy access to quick…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

I have purchased several of these products and highly recommend them. They are mounted directly on the light stand and screwed tight. There is an additional handle at the top to block the flash. Works great and forms a very strong bond. One of the great advantages is the ability to securely mount the flash and point it directly at the modifier (unlike standard flash mounts which offset the flash and form a loose connection). The Bowens mount is great. I haven't had any trouble with anything…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good but not great

This is by far the best budget S mount I've found.

Finally taken out of the box and used on a softbox that came with its own mount. This is without a doubt the best Bowens S mount I have and I have several mounts in my collection. Here's what I like: 1. Allows me to put my lightning bolt in the modifier instead of trying to line it up with a hole. If you've ever tried fitting a flash to a hole in a softbox with a trigger, you know what I mean. Connect a bare bulb to a strip box with this mount and it's magic! 2. Real S mount, attaching a large…
