Blanket looks good with minimal odour. After airing it out in the garage for three days, I put it in my car to use as a winter emergency blanket and I don't notice any smell from it in the car. While the duvet is "nice and heavy" meaning it won't slip off your sheet or sleeping bag like synthetic fleece blankets do, it has a lot less "buoyancy" than I would expect from a quality one blanket would expect. Attic = trapped air = ability to trap heat. I have other military and quilts that have more volume for the weight and Pendleton camp quilts that are much better but cost 3-4 times more. However, given the price, I can overlook the low loft issue, which is why it gets four stars. If I had paid $100 for it I would have given it less stars, but at less than $40 this is a good comforter for the price. Allow both people to share each other's warmth. Recommended for: - Emergency use in winter - Camping in spring or fall as an extra layer over or under sleeping bags - As an extra layer on a bunk in a cabin where the temperature drops at night when the wood stove is burning low.
