So I bought this item to try and diagnose my Range Rover and my VW Beetle because they were both having problems. This unit didn't give me the codes for any of them so I took the diagnostics to my mechanic friend and he did some research and said I might just need to download the latest update (although both my machines are early 2000's) so ME. I downloaded the update and it still didn't work so I figured maybe it's because both of my cars are foreign. So I connected it to my friend's Ford Expedition. It still didn't work. We read the instructions and the best we made of it was that it read the VIN of one of the three machines we tested it on. Not very helpful. As far as I know, this thing is a complete GARBAGE!
