I love the Columbia quality and the material this shirt is made of is excellent. The sizing is confusing, so the shirt was too big for me. The size XL t-shirt says right on the label that this is a boy aged 18-20. I ordered a larger size based on other reviewers but my tall 9 year old really only needs a medium size. I'll take this size instead! After visiting the Columbia Outlet in Houston, I think the size chart should read: Small: Size 8Medium: Size 10/12Large: Size 14/16XLLarge: Size 18/20 Update: The medium shirt has arrived (size 10/12 for a tall boy) and it fits my tall skinny son perfectly. (He's a size 10 for everything else.) I will say that the shirt appears to have a "fitted" cut, which I wasn't expecting. The sleeves are nice and long and the body is quite long, giving him the opportunity to grow even taller, but most of the shirt slides down his chest and torso like it was made for him. This is unusual as most of the tops are roomier and dangle from his slender body. The square shirt in the picture is misleading - expect a slim fitting shirt with less room in the chest and stomach area but with a long shirt hem and long sleeves, that can outgrow. excellent quality! I also bought a large one so my son will have another one to grow up with. (Just in case he has a growth spurt in the middle of summer, which is nearly nine months of the year for us! ) Now he's asking for a white version so he can have a comfortable yet pretty shirt to wear at family gatherings and dinners can wear where he needs to look good and still feel comfortable.
