I like this light. I have one under the kitchen counter where I make tea in the evenings; One is installed in a small closet and I ordered another for use over a washer/dryer that is in a small unlit area. I don't use a motion detection option, manual on/off is fine with me. We tried the move option, but it activated every time someone walked by. This turned out to be more annoying than helpful. I like the ability to charge flashlights, so easy and effective. The only criticism is the double-sided adhesive strips. All the lights I installed were for overhead lighting and every one of them fell off. Nothing broke, but I didn't wait for it to happen again. I bought Velcro straps, used them and everything is fine.
