These lights are bright but need to be charged too frequently to be truly reliable. There are other products that use AA batteries that do not require constant maintenance. I compared these rechargeable moving lights to battery powered moving lights on my stairs and quickly found that battery powered lights were a lot less of a hassle. Battery operated flashlights still work after months and I had to charge these flashlights every few days.

Unfortunately one of the flashlights I received failed to detect movement after the first copy. They arrived yesterday and worked once. The other light works as expected. Those are good closet lights. I want both to work well. I edited the above statement. I now believe that the reason a light doesn't detect motion is due to ambient light from a nearby window. There are only three lamps, but the working light is farther from the window.

We checked out my son's college dorm and found poor lighting, particularly in the pantry where there was none. I really like these lights. I just installed them myself under my kitchen cabinets. The magnetic strips make them easy to install and quick and easy to recharge. The lights themselves give enough light and the sensors are fine; They even pick up my small dogs when they walk past the water bowl.
