This is a very strong "thread "

I made several masks with this fixation on the face that goes behind the ears. It's flexible and works well for that. Just leave a small "tunnel" at each end of the mask and run this thread through the tunnel. Since it doesn't hold a knot like cotton thread, I knotted it a few times and then added a dab of fabric glue and set it aside to dry.
