but put some good tape on it

The one I got was 32ft. If you have questions; Just plug it in and watch as you get the temperature readings. Know the temperature in the room. They should be centered on the side of the battery. If you have a removable cover on the battery that exposes the cells; then peel and stick on the inner cell in the middle. It's duct tape; but put some good tape on it; so it doesn't fall off. Most batteries are not guaranteed without a probe; although they might not tell you about it (at least in the summer). It's cheap insurance. Good 24 gauge wire for the job and lots of it. You could probably make it longer if needed, no problem with this type of probe; but it will be sufficient for 99 percent of customers. I was told I need a specific inverter/controller xw; but when I plugged it in and scrolled through SCP; I saw the exact temperature; so everything went well.

Pros
  • TRUECharge2 Battery Temperature Sensor (BTS)
Cons
  • Not sure
