We have a laptop that has been using this type of charger for several years. The first time the original charger broke about a month ago. So we started looking for a new one. We ordered this one. The piece of metal that goes into the computer is thin and fragile. It broke within days with no additional power to connect or disconnect. We thought it was an accident so we went back and got a replacement. Two days. That's all it took. I tried to turn off the laptop (without pulling the cord) and the metal fell off immediately. Don't buy this. Invest in something better unless you want to shut down your laptop for a week and wait for another charger after getting disconnected from this place the first time and then kept disconnecting.
