I wouldn't use it on a motorcycle as I don't feel safe. I would give one star for use on the motorcycle. It really needs to be a one piece block with a glued grip to be effective on the bike and maybe tap finer threads for the set screws. I have a motorized kayak and needed a simple crank powered by a small 10hp motor. I didn't use the cable throttle at all, in fact I only used one of the two parts. The part I used did not have a section for the throttle cable. Like I said, I don't think I would trust that on a motorcycle. The rubber grip slides over the aluminum, so that was the first turn. I used some marine grade polyurethane for reliability. I folded back the rubber and then smeared the aluminum with a light coat of polyurethane. Then I lowered the elastic again and finally rolled the last section into place. It was a bit fiddly, but it worked. I had to remove the excess glue with denatured alcohol. The manufacturer has to fix this with glue from the start. The set screws have large threads, which I don't think is appropriate in this case. You need to use thinner yarn. At the very least, I would use Loctite and, as others have done, maybe create a slight burr to allow the set screw to bear up a bit. Again, if I had a motorcycle I would look elsewhere as I think they are downright dangerous for this application.
