These brushes are timeless and perfect. The first one I "inherited" from my grandmother who has had it since atleast the 1980s. The bristles were finally getting worn and coming out so luckily I found these on ebay. Unfortunately my new puppy found the new brush and chewed the top enough it where I couldn't really use it, so bought a third. I wouldn't say these are static-free but definitely reduce the amount of static. I have almost waist length curly thick hair and I couldn't imagine using any other type of brush on my hair. I also love it when blowdrying my hair as it lets the air flow through. I will continue to buy these as long as I need them and they are around.
