Extremely stretchy yet thick. Order one size larger as the top will ride up and the bottom will need to be pulled up to fit. In general, everything should stay in place when you fasten the belt tightly. The bottom also irritates the legs because it is too tight. I'm 5'7 and about 180. I usually wear a medium size. 33x30 in trousers. I should have ordered the big one. Bought a second pair because the quality seems to be good.
