I had very little space to set up a table stand and this was just what I needed. I bought another office work model that would fit but was more expensive (without assembly) and I'm not sure I won't need it there again. It took too much trouble to bring it home just to get it back so I looked for something similar but less expensive. This device met all the requirements. Assembly was straightforward (despite the fairly scattered instructions), but the last four screws holding the lift to the base were worth a scolding. It's just impossible to see the receiving end for the screws, when you put it together. These screws (at least the first two) were in decline. All in all, it does exactly what you want, but with a few caveats: I knew I would use it at a table height lower than the recommended one (my table is L-shaped, I use the bottom secret part for my computer), so I wouldn't recommend using it on a table with a lower than standard height if you're 6 feet or taller. This is not an issue with the product, this is an issue with my own choice. The only other caveat I'd like to offer is that the keyboard tray is deep. This is perfect for me as I wanted it to fit my large screen laptop. That might seem like a lot if you only use one keyboard. Quality construction with fully machined bolt assembly. You can easily spend more, but if the words "assembly required" don't freeze you, then you shouldn't. That's a good value.
